Microbiological Contaminants

Visual Inspection – Human and Automated Batch Review

To ensure the microbial integrity of all research compounds, Pinnacle Compounds conducts comprehensive microbiological testing beyond routine sterility assessments. In addition to bioburden analysis, we screen for a broad spectrum of potential microbial contaminants—including aerobic bacteria, yeasts, molds, and pathogenic species—using validated culture-based and molecular diagnostic assays. These tests are performed under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) conditions to verify that all materials are free from viable organisms that could compromise research fidelity, sterility, or downstream biological systems. This expanded microbial screening is especially critical for compounds intended for cell culture, in vivo modeling, or microbiome-sensitive studies. Quantitative results are typically expressed in colony-forming units per gram (CFU/g) and must fall within stringent, predefined internal specifications before release.
